Discovery Place

One of the top hands-on science museums in the nation, Discovery Place provides everchanging, entertaining facilities that foster experiences in areas that range from life science to space exploration. USA built exhibits which explored the Earth’s geology and ecosystems including these exhibits which highlighted weather, rocks and minerals and the Earth’s layers. The Hydrologic Cycle takes visitors through the exciting process of how rain works. A push button triggers a storm with lighting and thunder effects. The rain flows from a cloud onto a mountain and collects into a lake area below. After the storm ends, the sky lightens and the water, appears to dry up beginning the cycle again.

OUR LIVING PLANET

These exhibits take visitors on a visual and interactive journey through the earth’s natural wonders. Our Living Planet incorporates hands-on exhibits, demonstrations and audio visual components to show the connection between people and the earth on which we live.
