Stepping Stones Museum for Children

USA provided engineering development, fabrication, and installation services for a large portion of the museum’s Waterscape exhibits. Our scope of work included a review of water systems and plumbing design from water supply to water return. Fabrication techniques were widely varied, and included fiberglass, plastic lumber, stainless steel, and retrofitted off-the shelf pumps and water toys, to create a long-lasting and easy to maintain water-proof environment. A large umbrella with a translucent shade is central to the gallery’s design; water flows from the top of the umbrella into the main water canal.
